Jacqueline Newton

Secondary School Principal

Jacqueline has throughout her educational journey, she has worked in three school boards, nine secondary schools, and has taught in the Faculty of Education at the University of Toronto/OISE. She has also facilitated leadership workshops and courses for the Ontario Principals' Council. Imagine a school where students lead the learning for teachers, parents, and the community. Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville, Ontario is this school that lives for students. Jacqueline is passionate about building a school community that activates students' voices and targets school goals to increase school community engagement and increase the awareness and actions for the global learner while improving student achievement.
